Already have a gamertag that nearly works? Paste it in, pick a mode, and the optimizer applies concrete operations — stripping number tails, collapsing xX decoration, simplifying leetspeak, shortening compounds — and shows the quality score of every result.

The optimiser improves format only. It cannot check availability — verify your improved name in your platform’s own name-change flow.

What each mode does

Clean it up removes decorative clutter: repeated separators, xX wrapping and leetspeak substitutions. Shorten keeps the strongest word and trims the rest. Remove random numbers deletes digit tails. The memorable, competitive and aesthetic modes reshape the name towards each quality profile, and similar alternatives keeps the identity while exploring variations.

Every operation is deterministic — the same input and mode always produce the same output — so you can compare options methodically rather than re-rolling and hoping.

What the optimizer can't do

It can't check availability, and it can't promise your improved name is free — that check belongs to the platform. It also won't invent a completely different identity; for that, use the main generator.

Scores compare format quality only: length, pronounceability, cleanliness, platform fit. They are not a measure of coolness or popularity.

Transformation recipes that work

Certain before-and-after journeys appear so reliably that they are worth naming. The Inheritance Rescue: a great word arrived at through years of play, buried under xX bookends and leetspeak — clean mode strips the decoration and keeps the inheritance. The Trimming: a fourteen-character epic shortened to its strongest eight, which is almost always the first word plus nothing. The De-numbering: the word you actually use, freed from the digits you actually ignore.

Then there are the lateral moves. Competitive mode uppercases and hardens a name for ranked play; aesthetic mode lowercases and softens the same word for a calmer context — same identity, different room. Similar-alternatives mode is for the moment of bad news: the name is taken, and rather than surrendering to a number, you get six relatives of it that keep the sound and lose the collision.

What no mode will do is invent a total stranger to your current name, because that is not optimisation — that is starting over, and the main generator already exists for it. The optimiser's contract is narrower and more useful: your name, improved, by degrees you can see on the score.
